The Blockchain Academics Crypto Brain (“Service”) is a read-mostly data API and MCP server that aggregates on-chain, market, and editorial data for use by developers, AI agents, and institutional clients. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose, including commercial products, provided you stay within the rate limits and call quotas of your active tier. You may not (a) use the Service to build a direct competitor that rehosts our aggregated dataset, (b) attempt to circumvent rate limits or authentication, or (c) use the Service in violation of applicable securities, sanctions, or consumer-protection laws.

Your API key is a bearer credential. Anyone who possesses it can consume quota billed to your account. You are solely responsible for keeping your key confidential — do not commit it to public repositories, embed it in client-side applications, or share it with third parties.

If you suspect a key has been compromised, rotate it immediately from your dashboard or email security@blockchainacademics.com. Usage accrued on a compromised key before rotation remains your responsibility.

Every API response ships with a cite_url pointing to the canonical source and a source_hash for tamper-evidence. Free-tier consumers must surface the cite_url in any user-facing output derived from the Service (e.g., an AI agent's answer). Paid tiers (Starter, Pro, Team, Enterprise) may use the data internally without surfaced citation, but attribution is strongly encouraged.

Stripping or falsifying the cite_url or source_hash fields is a material breach of these Terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Blockchain Academics makes no warranty that the data is accurate, current, or suitable for any particular purpose, including trading, investment, or regulatory decisions. You are responsible for validating any data before acting on it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blockchain Academics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability in any twelve-month period is capped at the greater of (a) fees you paid us in that period, or (b) USD $100.
